Thomas goes to Pre-School!

Thomas started Pre-School at the beginning of September. I was a little worried for him.

His first day, he kept telling me he didn't want to go to school, so I arranged for my friend Marty to watch Alex, so I could help Thomas transition. Well, we got there he saw his friends, they got out a toy and he had no problem staying! :) So far, he really likes it and it's so fun to have him come home and show me the things he's made or learned :)

You are making me miss our days in school. It really was an awesome time. The mid-west is different but the people are great. Sounds like you are in a great community. Enjoy it, it will get easier, and by the time you have to leave, you will cry again:

I'm glad you are all settling in. I'm sure Thomas will end up loving school since you and Damond both enjoy it. Miss you! :)

Wow! That is so exciting that Thomas gets to go to preschool. It sounds like things are working out for the most part. I am glad you get to be with your mama for a little while.

I am so glad that he's finding some good buddies here. Hey- when you gonna go running with me? We need to go before we freeze our kids noses off making them come with us. : )

Obviously it seems way to soon for this...pretty soon he'll be in college - are you ready for this? Time flies...

We do know the Wheeler family here - not in our ward but in our stake. They are relatives of some other people we knew at BYU but I can't now remember who it is they are related to.

My best to you and your husband and choice family. You guys are truly awesome.

I was so weird about the whole preschool thing with James. I just hated the idea of him being away from me with someone other than family. I didn't like that he would be influenced by other bratty kids and that I wouldn't be there to defend him and hold his hand through it all (am I a bit of a control freak, you ask? YES)
Anyway, James has done SO well with it and I'm glad he is attending this year. I'm happy to hear Thomas is doing well too :)
