Toto, we're not in AZ anymore!

We are back from a whirlwind 34 day vacation :D It was filled with family fun and craziness :D

We had been home for about 15 min. when Thomas asked to go back to Phoenix, because there was no Mimi's, Grandpa, Barbara, Diego, or Babe (aka my sister's boyfriend). He then called my parents to ask them to come to Indiana. He cried for them for the rest of the evening. He woudn't even play in the bathtub :( After family scripture study and prayer (our new family goal) I put them to bed. I knew it was going to be hard for him since he has been sleeping with my parents for the last month minus our trips to Damond's family so I laid down with him and sang him song. I fell asleep and when I woke up his eyes were still open and he turned to me and said, "I want Mim's and Grandpa," with such a sad face :( I just hugged and snuggled him and he eventually fell asleep.
So it was a nice surprise for him when he woke up and saw this!

Remember, not too long ago it was this

Well, it's been snowing all day! We went from 70 degree, sunny skies, basically perfect weather to this. Thomas has been loving it!!!!

Alex, not so much!!!!
This is him throwing a fit, because he did not want to put on his snow clothes and refused to go outside!!!! It will be a very long winter if this continues!

k, So I tried to include video of Alex having his major meltdown, but it was taking 1/2 an hour to process... does it normally take that long?

Oh, Asher would be so jealous if I showed him this blog (which I won't because then he'd whine about how he needs to see Thomas so bad). Every day, Asher says, "I think it's going to snow!"

I guess it's the New Englander in him.

I am sorry Thomas is having such a hard time. It made my heart hurt to read your blog. I am glad that he is loving the snow though. Good luck with Alex :)

It's so heartbreaking when the kids love their grandparents so much and can't be near them!! Sweet Thomas! How lucky he is to have good memories of them!

Hang in there, hopefully soon they'll be accustomed to there new home again!! It's always weird getting back into the swing of things after vacation. We never actually left town but it felt like we were on vacation for two weeks too!!

Poor Thomas! That just broke my heart reading that! Though seeing the picture of Alex brought the smile back. :)

Look at all that SNOW! Wow. What a serious change from Phoenix weather. You will be laughing at us when we are miserably suffering through the Phx summers, while you bask in your perfect weather :)

Aww . . . that's so sad and so funny at the same time. How sweet that he got to sleep with Mimi and Grandpa . . . I'm with Alex. I'd be afraid . . . very afraid of the snow. :)
